One of Mink's little kittens passed away yesterday. The kitten had been left outside the nest soon after he had been born which is always a bad sign. Minsk quickly accepted the little kitten when I put him back in the nest but sadly it was not meant to be and the kitten slipped away yesterday.
The cats do have a sixth sense about these things and although everything seemed fine obviously there was something wrong.
Minsk has been exceptionally protective about her remaining kittens and is now reluctant to leave the nest. I am having to feed her next to her kittens in order to make sure she eats enough.
The rest of the kittens seem ok although one of them is worryingly small but he is feeding well and putting on weight
Fingers crossed the four remaining boys all stay well
