The bran bath.
At the last cat show I went to someone advised me to give Boris a bran bath one week prior to the show to make his coat soft and gleam with health.
What a performance, Boris did not like it one bit, not one bit!
The bran was dutifully warmed in the oven, left to cool as instructed, then Boris was placed in the bowl of bran and bathed in the mixture. He climbed the walls and when encouraged to get back into the bowl, he jumped out again, climbed on my back and stayed there as I could not reach him and put him back in the bran filled bowl. Bran was flying everywhere. The dog ate the spilled bran and Boris frantically licked his coat before I managed to groom out the bran.
No doubt tomorrow both Boris and the dog will have the runs... another pleasant day to look forward to.
...Note to self, cut Boris nails prior to bran bath in future!
